Well, I've been waiting for the first scene to render for over an hour, and it's about 40% done. I'm going to let this one finish during the night and then turn off the blobmesh that I think is trashing my PC. While I'm waiting though, I'll just go over what I did for the scene. I started with the skull, by creating a sphere, stretching it a little to make it more oblong, then I started using other spheres on it, all being proboolean added to it. Once I got the shape very close to what I wanted, I converted it to a poly and rotated and moved the bottom jaw part.
I then added the kiss of death by adding a blobmesh to it. That thing, as well as the raytrace reflective material I added on it has brought my PC to its knees.
Then I started with the bones. I took a sphere, used taper, squeeze, stretch, and tweeked it until I got it to a shape I wanted, then move/copied it, rotated the copy, then copied another that I modified a little more the the middle part of the end. I then proboolean added them all together. After that I move copied it and then rotated the copied end 180 degrees. Then I converted both to poly's and then removed the verts in the middle part, and then connected them into one object. Then I modified it with tapers, squeezes, and stretches until I got about what I wanted.
I added materials to the skull and bones and then set up the three point lighting.
I'll update this post or make another one when the first scene is done rendering.
